We drove from Crater of Diamonds, Arkansas into the breathtaking Ozark Mountains. The last hour of the trip was slow go. Back and forth up to 2000 feet above the valley. There were many different shades of green from the trees to the grass. We arrived at Mount Magazine Campground. We had a back in sight. As soon as we started to park the gentleman from the next sight came right over to assist. He was a great help. It is amazing to meet so many friendly people. He and his sons and brothers-in-laws were on a camping/motorcycle adventure. We spent the following morning hiking the trails of Mount Magazine. We saw a dozen different kinds of flowers. We hiked almost five miles that day, even Cloe. We did school work and rewarded ourselves with dinner at the Lodge.
