Museums by Marcus and Caroline

Museums, Museums

by Marcus

We visited many museums in Washington DC.  We went to the Museum of American History and I enjoyed the old toy soldiers, the cars and the war section.  I liked the Titanoboa part of the Natural History Museum.  My favorite part of the Botanical Garden was the greenhouse.  I saw paintings by Monet at the National Art Gallery.  At the Air and Space Museum I loved seeing all the large rockets.  All of the museums are cool.

Museums Are Fun

by Caroline

There are so many museums in Washington DC.  The American History Museum History was cool.  My Favorite exhibit was the First Ladies’ dresses.  The Natural History Museum was awesome. We saw the biggest diamond.  At the Air and Space Museum we saw the Wright Brothers plane.  At the Botanical Garden I liked the small trained trees called Bonsais.  My favorite artist at the National Art Gallery was Van Gogh.  I loved all the museums we visited and we didn’t even see them all.

We really enjoyed our time visiting the Washington DC area.  There is so much to see and do. We visited the museums on a few different days.  We parked our truck at the Metro station and took the train downtown.   We met some great friends at our campground.  Marc even made me a sparkle ball.  Here is the link if you would like to make one- www.sparkleball.com

I enjoyed reading your post, Marcus and Caroline. You are both wonderful writers!!!! I especially enjoyed the photographs of all the wonderful art work you viewed at The National Gallery. I think we might have even painted our own Vase of Roses inspired by Vincent Van Gogh in art class one summer!!!!

  2. How wonderful to be able to share all of this as a family. It makes me smile each time I get to read about another one of your adventures. What an incredible experience . Love to all. Nancy
