After leaving Acadia we drove to North Yarmouth, Maine. We stopped for a quick visit at the Crowder’s. Marcus and Caroline were beyond excited to spend time with the Crowder kids. Even though they had never met before, you would have never known that seeing them play like old friends. Marc and I were happy to hang out with Bryon and Kellie too. We parked our camper on the quiet street in front of their house and boondocked for our first time.
The next day we headed to Naples Campground in Naples, ME. It was a nice place with very friendly owners. We caught up on some school work and chores. We did an experiment with celery and colored water. The next day Grammy Carol and Eddie arrived. Marcus and Caroline could hardly wait! Grammy brought us lots of fresh vegetables from her garden. Marcus and Caroline spent every minute they could with their grandparents playing basketball, swimming and just being together. Marc and I took a five mile hike and even had a chance to go out with Bryon and Kellie. On Saturday we went to the Great Falls 20th Annual Balloon Festival. We watched as 19 balloons took flight. What a amazing sight. They were just beautiful. Caroline and Grammy marked each one on the program as they took off and Eddie and Marcus made sure they had a picture of each one. On Sunday we said goodbye and headed for New Hampshire.
