Treasure Island

On our way from the Everglades to Orlando we decided to make a stop, well I guess I decided we should make a stop. When my brother and I were about Marcus and Caroline’s ages Grandma and Grandpa LaBar began a tradition of meeting us in Florida every May for a week on Treasure Island. It is a very fond memory for me of spending time with my parents and grandparents away from the rest of the world..or so it seemed. I remember my brother and I playing in the ocean, on the beach and in pool for hours. Our stop here while brief, did not disappoint me. We all enjoyed gathering shells (just like Grandma LaBar) on the wide beaches surrounded by seagulls. Even though Trail Inn Motel had changed over the years it still felt familiar.
