We were all anxious to get to Oklahoma to see Aunt Krysta, Uncle Bill and Flipp so we decided to get on our way a day earlier than planned! Aunt Krysta and Uncle Bill surprised us by coming over as soon as they knew we were there! We camped at Abe’s RV north of Oklahoma City. It was right off the highway, but our camper is well insulated so the noise didn’t bother us and we spent lots of time at Aunt Krysta and Uncle Bill’s.
Grammy and Eddie flew to Oklahoma so we all could be together for five days! They almost didn’t make it out on Christmas Day, but their flight was delayed long enough to watch Marcus and Caroline open presents. They brought games and fun activities for each day. We celebrated Marc’s birthday and he even got to go out for sushi! Max (our elf on the shelf) even had some fun. Caroline loved the dresses that Grammy Carol made for her and her doll Clara. They put on a fashion show for us! Marcus had enjoyed his new Christmas gifts as well.
Caroline and her dad got to go ice skating and Marcus was happy to get some hot chocolate! We attended a beautiful candle light caroling service at a nearby church. Cloe and Flipp enjoyed walking together every day and Cloe was spoiled with a new bed! We spent a day at the Oklahoma Science Center using our reciprocal membership. If you plan to doing any traveling this is a great membership to have! Marcus has always wanted to ride on a Segway and he finally got his chance.
We ended our visit by ringing in the New Year. We all made it up till midnight and had dinner at Pops. Even though we are now experiencing winter, we were so glad we could spend time with our family. Life moves so quickly even when you are traveling down the road.
