New Mexico Space History Museum

We made a trip to the New Mexico Space History Museum with our museum pass.  Most of the time we were the only visitors there.  We met Larry and learned so much about space shuttles and the importance of gyroscopes in stability.  Larry, who works at the museum, did experiments with Marcus and Caroline and helped them understand what it is like to be an astronaut.  He really made the visit a learning experience.   IMG_4503

They practiced landing the space shuttle.

Marcus and Caroline spent a lot of time building their own model space station.

IMG_4500We decided to buy a gyroscope to experiment with ourselves.  It is really a fun teaching toy.
