Friends

I am not going to lie, being on the road it is hard to feel like you are nurturing relationships with others in an active way.  But this month we have all been fortunate to feel truly connected.  It all began with camping at Usery Mountain Park because of the Boyink’s (boyinks4adventure.com/)  We were so blessed to meet this full timing family.  They shared stories and advice and helped us feel we belong to this lifestyle.  Their children were model examples of friends and full timing teens to Marcus and Caroline.IMG_5057

Marcus and Caroline had met Kelly’s nephews last year when they visited New Jersey and were looking forward to connecting with them again.  We had a great time seeing their food truck The Uprooted Kitchen (http://theuprootedkitchen.com/contact.html)IMG_4928

Marcus and Caroline spent a fun filled day and night with Cole and Jonah (thanks to the Polosky’s for that.)  We enjoyed connecting with their parents and grandparents.

A friend Marc had worked with more than ten years ago lived close by in Tempe.  The O’Donnells graciously invited us over to watch the Super Bowl, even though none of really watched the game because we were busy catching up.  Later in the week we were excited they came to visit us at our campground.  It was so nice to meet their children after seeing them for so many years in pictures.  We really enjoyed all of the delicious fruit they shared with us.IMG_4989

Thanks for making us a part of your adventure! Everyone enjoyed the visits and we will keep the kids tuned into your blog for regular updates on the travels. Travel safe! The O’Donnell

  2. It’s funny how similar the post I just wrote on our site is to yours..;).

It’s been really great to see the kids interacting so well – and to hear positive comments from other people about your own kids is always rewarding so thank you.

We’ve enjoyed interacting with Marcus and Caroline as well – they’re just so friendly, well spoken and great at gift-giving.

Glad you guys chose to come our way and hope to meet up again down the road!

Happy Valentines Day I been wanting to ask you how is your Splendie washer/dryer working for your needs? When we met you at Chenago State park, you had mentioned that you had some issues with it. We are still thinking of installing one, but really dont want thetrouble if they are not what they claim to be. Mel would just love to be able to do clothes in the camper at her convience. We are soooo excited to get some trips in, we are so sure we could become full timmers adventually. It is currently 35 degrees and we are sick of winter, cloudy days and being sick with colds/ flu/ ect. the Harris family
