Friends Old and New

I am very glad we are living this life style now and not years ago.  We can be connected to family and friends all over the country no matter where we are.  I enjoy having electronic friendships with people I meet along this journey and people from the past, but being able to see these people face to face makes this adventure even more worth while.  Shannon, with whom I graduated from high school with and haven’t seen in over 25 years, and I have been electronic friends on facebook for a few years.  I enjoy keeping up with her.  She gave us suggestions of things to see and do in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area when she knew we were headed that way.  She and Daniel kindly invited to their house.  It was as if Marcus and Caroline had grown up spending time there.  They made themselves right at home.  Marcus made notes on the white board and Caroline found the perfect spot on the stairs to read.  Marcus and Daniel were bonded by there love of cake.  Their dogs were the most amazing animals.  Caroline fell in love with Ziggy.  They even invited Erin, a fellow Pennsylvanian over to share this relaxing afternoon.  It is so nice to connect with people.  Marc and I had such a nice time talking and sharing with Shannon, Daniel and Erin. Every once and a while we have been able to connect with people who have given us such positive feelings.  You just never know what a difference you can make in someones life.

  1. Eddie & Mom

I remember Shannon from your high school days. How fun that you could share some time together so many years later! Mom

  2. We so enjoyed that day! It felt so natural and “at home” to have you all there. We were sorry to see you all go–especially the fabulous twins! 🙂
