Thanksgiving at Folly Beach (a little early)

This year my brother and sister-in-law and my Mom and Eddie met us at Folly Beach, South Carolina to celebrate Thanksgiving a few days early.  My mom and Eddie rented a house at the beach near Charleston so we could all spend a few stollen days away.  They brought every thing you can imagine to help make this a family Thanksgiving.  Marcus and Caroline helped her make pumpkin and pecan pies.

Uncle Bill helped with the cooking and the tablecloth coloring.  Everyone took a turn helping in the kitchen.  We made turkey cookies and my mom even brought my grandmothers salt and pepper shakers.

We were able to walk right to the beach from the house.  We just love the beach.  The sound, the sights and the freedom of the beach just transport you.

This area really has so much to offer.  Gram and Eddie took Marcus and Caroline on a historic carriage ride while Bill, Krysta, Marc and I strolled around this intrigueing city.  I just love all the churches, flower boxes and intimate courtyards.

We took a stroll to see Morris Island Lighthouse.  There were some great views!

My mom and Eddie brought a kite that Bill bought about fifteen years ago for Cali and Marcus to use on the beach.  It is a really cool kite!

I want to thank my mom for all her work to make this a special time when we could all connect.  We ate good food, played dominoes, enjoyed the beach and most of all each others company.  I am reminded how God has blessed us. So on Thanksgiving day we may not be with family, but we are filled we thanks for the special people we have in our lives.
