Thanksgiving in Florida

This year we decided we wanted to be somewhere warm for Thanksgiving.IMG_0841Holidays away from family and friends is something I will never get used to.  When we were trying to make a schedule this month we decided to be at a campground where they were have a Thanksgiving dinner.  That way if we wanted we could share a meal with others.  We did our traditional Thanksgiving day activities.  Caroline and I strung sea shells as garland and we decorated our little tree while we watched the parade.  This year we made frames with old puzzle pieces and put pictures from the places we have visited in them.  IMG_0850Marcus and Caroline had new Thanksgiving shirts to wear that Grammy Red had made.IMG_0844I would say there were around  eighty people at the Thanksgiving lunch, but one family stood out to us.  They are a family of traveling missionaries with the nicest children.  You can check out their blog http://narrowroadschoolers.blogspot.com.  Meeting another traveling family was definitely the highlight of our time at Three Flags and this family is such an inspiration!

After dinner we used the gift card Aunt Kelly gave Marcus and Caroline for their birthday and went to see the movie Frozen.  We all really enjoyed it.  I was excited to put the web address of our blog on the back of the camper.  Thanks so much Windy for making the letters for me.IMG_0851

YAY! SO fun! We have been really struggling with how to make the holidays special without family and snow as well! We loved having dinner at the park and look forward to Christmas dinner with all of them as well. We decorated and brought in a little tree and I’ll tell ya, the christmas carols on the radio have been quite inspiring! WIll we see you at Legoland in FL?
