When we were trying to find a campground close to York, PA we discovered a Thousand Trails about nine miles away. It is called Gettysburg Farm. It has an array of animals! We took a couple walks to check out the animals. They had pigs, alpacas, lamas, bulls, donkeys, chickens, goats, rabbits, ducks, turkeys, cows and pair of peacocks.
The neatest thing about this campground is that we discovered friends of ours were staying there! Art and Elaine Hansen who helped us so much when we first started. We were so thankful we had the opportunity to spend a few evenings around a campfire with them and their friends.
They told us about an air show going on nearby. Cali and Marcus had lots of questions for their dad about planes and flying. What a great way to spend Father’s Day.
