We like Harry Potter so we devised a plan to make a Harry Potter Day. First we played a Harry Potter card game that Cali and I had ordered online. In the game you and opponent are pupils at Hogwarts. I beat Mom and Dad beat Cal.
Next, for Defense Against the Dark Arts, we learned some spells like avricolor which changes an objects color. Then we gave each other scenarios, we had to tell how we would get out of them alive. For divination we read the coffee mug. We just used tea that we cut out of the tea bag and added water.
Quidditch was defiantly the hardest to organize. We used three balls. We split into two teams. One of the none seekers hid the ping pong ball; then we put the other two balls in the middle of the field. Then we ran at them and the first team to the ball they wanted got it. If you had the softball and you hit the person with the soccer ball you would switch balls with them. When your team’s seeker found the ping pong ball you would get 10 extra points. To score you had to get the soccer ball in the goal.
For lunch we had fish n’ chips with butter-beer (witch we made with butterscotch, ice cream and cream soda) and an assortment of Harry Potter candy. Our candy was fizzing wizz butterflies, peppermint ladybugs and chocolate frogs. We used molds to make the shape.
For writing that day we made potion recipes. Here is how we make our potions. We got small paint containers, droppers and glass vials. We filled the paint containers with oil, popcorn, herbs, spices, seeds and vinegar. Then we made magical names for them like gnome noses and black beetle eye. We use the s’more maker Aunt Kelly gave us as a cauldron. To concluded our great day we went to a Harry Potter play with our fiends. Cali will tell you all about it.
