We drove to San Diego to visit Cabrillo National Park. Juan Rodrugez Cabrillo was the first Spaniard to visit this peninsula. The land of California was new to him. The people, plants, and animals were different from where he was from.
We walked around exploring the park. Marcus and I looked into tide pools and found Hermit crabs and really strange creatures.
When we went up to the Visitor Center we got to try on armor. My favorite piece of armor was a chain mail shirt. We completed the Junior Ranger Programs.
We made sun prints with the light of the sun. We watch a film on the gray whales. They migrate to the area to have there young before heading north.
On our way home we stopped at the Hotel Del Coronado. Marcus and mom shared an ice cream nachos. Dad and I shared a big banana split. They were both delicious. We all had a great day!!!
