Rancho Oso

Wednesday we had to take our week out from Soladad Canyon Campground, so we drove 2 hours over to Rancho Oso Campground.

That week end on Saturday, was busier than I imagined! People were everywhere. Marcus and I did two scavenger hunts and the Hunt for the Golden Horseshoe. We went all over the campground looking for things. Hunting for the golden horseshoe was fun and after a lot of hard work we found it.

In the middle we went down to the stables where there was a bucking bull demonstration, a dog rounding up cattle demonstration, and a little pony. The next day we hiked to a beautiful waterfall. The trail was only 1/2 a mile, so I ran it twice.

We took a drive to see Chumash panted cave and had some great views. We only stayed in Rancho Oso Campground for 5 days, but they were a fun 5 days. Next we moved on to Emma Wood, which I will write about soon.

beautiful country side you are in. It looks hot and dry. The cave looks very interesting, and very cool for a hot day. Keep up the running as adults some of us loose the ability to run fast but I remember the feeling of freedom to move really fast! Love your posts.
