Lights, Camera, Action….The Filming of ‘I Didn’t Do It’

On May 27th we were lucky enough to catch the last filming of the second season of ‘I Didn’t Do It’ a Disney production.  The show is about twins Lindy and Logan and their three friends as they attend high school in Chicago.  Because it was the last episode of the season many people had signed up to be in the live studio audience.  We were disappointed that not all of our friends made it in.

We arrived at the studio at the Los Angles Center Studios around 3:30 in the afternoon.  After waiting in line for quite a while they started to let people in.  We had to go through security and then entered the studio. They showed a previous episode so we would know what was going on in the show.  Then a comedian came out and made us laugh to get us ready for the taping.  He gave out pictures to a few of the best laughers.  Our friend Emma was given one.

It was really cool to see how a TV show is filmed.  There are so many people behind the scenes working on the show.  When they are shooting you have to be quite until its time to laugh.  It was really cold in the studio.  The lights are hot that shine on the set so they have to keep it cold.  They shot each scene at least twice and most of them more than that.

It took about three hours to shoot the scenes they needed.  They had shot some of the scenes for this episode the day before.  Then since it was the last episode of the season the actors came out so we could meet them.  We met Piper Curda, Austin North, Olivia Holt, Peyton Clark and Sarah Gilman.  We had no idea we would have this opportunity.  I was interesting to see how shows are filmed.

How fun!! Years ago, when we were new to CA, we watched a show being filmed and thought it was very interesting. So different to see what all goes on behind the scenes! Were you familiar with the show? Very cool that you got to meet the actors!!
