Fun with Friends at Soledad Canyon

For the past couple months we have spent time with our friends in Acton,California.  When we first arrived nobody was there, but after a couple days more people came. We also met some new fulltimers we had never met before. While we were there we had a birthday party for there son, Kyle. He turned 11. We had cupcakes over at his house and then we went to a big tree down the road and played a couple games. We also had a party for Tim, whom we had met in Maine. He turned 10. We ate yummy cupcakes and played on a playground. The next few weeks went by sooo fast. We had Bella’s birthday too. A couple of her friends came from Alta-Dena. We played down at the tree for a while and then went to my house to do Make-Up and Dress-Up. We all dressed up like we were from the 50’s. We even did the wild hair.

We wore our dresses to my favorite movie, Maleficent. After the movie we went to Bella’s house and had a sleep over. Over the next couple weeks we played a lot of nerf wars and had a lot of fun. A couple weeks later I hosted another sleepover.Molly, Bella, Emma, and I had a ton of fun and ate a ton of candy and junk food. Before we went to bed we watched Princess Bride. We woke up early the next morning and had donuts for breakfast.

On Memorial Day we had a potluck with all our friends. Mikey bought us all bottles of Coke.  There was lots of yummy stuff to eat! A couple weeks later we had another potluck and met some new fulltimers. We had a lot of fun at that potluck too! One night we even did Karaoke. Emma and I sang Hit Me With Your Best Shot. Some nights the parents would play Werewolf, a really fun game. One time all the kids joined in. I was a Werewolf along with Mrs. Bonni and Dad. The Werewolves won!

While we were there Mom asked the Manager of the park if we could volunteer and she said yes. She gave us the job of pulling up 1200 pavers and stacking them. The first night we pulled them up we manged to stay relatively clean. The second time, when we went to finish the sprinklers turned on and we all got so muddy and wet! After we finished we got to run through the sprinklers all we wanted!

Several days we went to the pool. We played in the splash buckets.  Mr Phillip bought us ice scream one day and on another day Mr Mike let us ride in the back of his truck.

We played many games of Risk, Sorry, and Monopoly with our friends. We were able to do things with them everyday. One Afternoon us girls, Bella, Mrs. Jessica, Emma, Mom and I went to Goodwill. We all picked out 50’s dresses to wear when we dress up.  Living and playing with this group of friends is just awesome.

We all went to the Nethercutt Car Museum one afternoon.  We even toured an antique train while we were there. http://www.nethercuttcollection.org/Museum.aspx

One of the most exciting things to happen was the birth of baby Sophie.  We went to the hospital and I was even able to hold her. She is so cute.I am glad we got to spend time with all our friends and  Hope we see them again soon!
