Canyonlands National Park

Today we went to Canyonlands National Park. In Canyonlands there are three different districts, The Island in the Sky, The Maze and The Needles. We were at the Island in the Sky. We drove to the Mesa Arch Trailhead and hiked 1/4 of a mile to The Mesa Arch. There were wonderful views and a huge drop off.

After we finished that hike we went to Grand View point and hiked a mile out on the rim of a canyon.

Then we went to Whale rock and climbed to the top.

After finished hiking we went to the Visitor Center. Marcus and I did the Junior Ranger program and watched a video. Canyonlands has beautiful views and I am glad we got to visit.

    Beautiful!!!!!!

  2. Hi, I have been reading your blog and you seem to be a couple of months ahead of us. We’re in California now, heading to Rancho Oso next week. We also have plans to go to Zion and Bryce. Did you think it was too hot in Zion? Also, where is Canyonlands? It looks beautiful!

    • Bryce was cooler because of the elevation. Zion was hot but there is a creek to cool off in which our kids love. We made sure we went earlier in the day when it was a bit cooler. We went to Canyonlands while we were here in Moab visiting Arches. It is about 45 minutes away. Hope we can meet down the road. Connie
